Restaurant before/after
Last Friday I showed up at one of our monthly accounts to discover another contractor cleaning.Needless to say I was less than happy about not receiving a phone call or written 30 days notice.
The morning wasn't a complete loss since I was able to run across town and take care of one of our quarterly accounts.After finishing the quarterly account I called the manager at the 1st stop to ask what was going on.Her reply was "itz bidness,not personal...they sayz they can does it cheaper".I sent an email to the Corp office explain her attitude and the fact that our service agreement calls for 30days written notice and while I understand the need to watch spending with the current economy I was not asked by management if there was any way I could work with them to fit into their budget.
This was a 15 day account that cut back to 30 in Dec.At that time I had to remove some of the square footage to meet their new budget,but was still able to clean the areas most needed per their requirements.
Monday afternoon the GM of this account called and asked when I would be cleaning.I kind of chuckled and said I was there Friday and you had someone else on site.I went on to explain my conversation with the other manager etc.She told me regardless if they changed companies she would still have me clean for March as she felt she owed me that courtesy.
Tuesday morning I went to clean.In my mind thinking it won't be that bad since it was just done Friday.I couldn't have been more wrong.
